Einer der beiden Anw\u00e4rter:innen f\u00fcr das h\u00f6chste Amt der Vereinigten Staaten lieferte urspr\u00fcnglich auch die Inspiration daf\u00fcr, in dieser Nummer ein Thema aufzugreifen, das seit einigen Jahren durch die Medien geistert und an deren Verbreitung \u2013 wenngleich die betreffende Person sich stets als deren Opfer sah \u2013 er selbst bis zum heutigen Tag an vorderster Stelle mitwirkte; denn unter dem Schlagwort \u201eFake News\u201c summiert Donald Trump fortlaufend all jene Schlagzeilen, die nicht mit seiner politischen Gesinnung \u00fcbereinstimmen oder ihm aus sonstigen Gr\u00fcnden nicht genehm sind. Dass er sich dabei zu einem:einer der weltweit prominentesten Verbreiter:innen von Verschw\u00f6rungstheorien macht, legt nicht zuletzt der Umstand nahe, dass selbst der f\u00fcr seine Seriosit\u00e4t und Transparenz nicht gerade ber\u00fchmte Meta-Konzern, zu dem die Social Media-Plattformen Facebook und Instagram geh\u00f6ren, Trumps Accounts zeitweise sperrte.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dcberdies wurden wir gerade erst vor wenigen Wochen Zeug:innen der einzigen \u00f6ffentlich ausgetragenen Debatte zwischen den Pr\u00e4sidentschaftskandidat:innen Kamala Harris und Donald Trump, in welcher Letzterer mit dem viral gegangenen Statement \u201eIn Springfield, they\u2019re eating the dogs, the people that came in, they\u2019re eating the cats.
